Vote Early Austin was an SEO project I did. I had a lot of trouble finding info on polling locations for early voting in my area. Info from the first page of results on Google was out of date by 2 years. Information from the county website was stuck in a PDF file, which few people are fans of.
I pulled the data from the PDF, made maps on Google, and tried to make the most usable, plain, XHTML/CSS site to host the info. The site got up to #2 on Google and #1 on Yahoo and was visited by over a thousand voters.
